About the Journal

Alkebulan: A Journal of West and East African Studies is an international journal published twice yearly (January-June and July-December). It is a publication of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Calabar, Nigeria. The journal intends to promote academic research in the humanities and social sciences domains, based on issues from the West and East African regions. Its goal is also to promote and encourage cross-disciplinary debate, comparative viewpoints, and research that employs the most relevant theoretical or methodological approaches to the issues in the region.
