Alkebulan: A Journal of West and East African Studies utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) Plugin to facilitate the automated archiving of journal articles. Through this plugin, articles are archived in the PKP Preservation Network, ensuring their digital preservation.

The PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) employs the LOCKSS Program, which offers decentralized and distributed preservation capabilities.
