The Potential of Anonymous Polling Software in Leadership Decision Making At the National University Of Science and Technology

Abstract

Advances in science and technology have ushered in a number of polling software which is proving to be of much help in decision making. Based on an experimental design, the authors have explored the potential of anonymous polling software as a decision making tool using Google form. One hundred people from the faculty of commerce were conveniently and purposefully sampled to participate in a survey on whether to continue with or stop industrial attachment. The participation online was voluntary. They were first invited in person to come together to discuss their opinion on the subject in question and their opinions were to be compared with the opinions which were made on an anonymous survey online. The results of the experiment pointed to the fact that anonymous polling software has got great potential when it comes to making accurate, honesty and sound decisions which can either make or break an organisation.
